"BUILDING BRIDGES," CAER CONFERENCE in KLAIPEDA, LITHUANIA

Host: Communication Association of Eurasian Researchers (CAER)

Location: Klaipeda, LT

Host University: LCC International University

Dates: June 27-29, 2020

CAER sponsors and participates in many events such as NCA and ICA throughout the year with the goal of providing academic research and networking opportunities for our members. This conference, set in Klaipeda, Lithuania on the Baltic Sea, will give you the opportunity to interact with global scholars on the subject of communication in Eurasia.

Robert Craig and Boguslawa Dobek-Ostrovska will be keynoting the three-day event, with two days of presentations, and one group excursion.

The theme, "Building Bridges" is a metaphor that represents the concept that academic inquiry can be a tool to develop dialogic connections between various "others", mediated through the tools of research and respect. We can find common ground above the troubled waters of politics or culture to even gain insight into such realities from the shared space of our field's disciplines. This broad metaphor allows inclusion of diverse methodological frames within the geographic context of Eurasia
